On Feb. 28th, NASA presented the award to recognize the InDyne team’s outstanding success in upgrading the Maximo work control system for the KICS contract.
The project involved the migration of 5 Maximo subsystems from Unix to Windows and from an older HP9000 server hardware platform to a new Dell server cluster platform. The migration was completed without the benefit of a separate test and development environment. The simplified configuration resulted in significant savings ($103,000) in recurring yearly hardware maintenance costs because of the upgrade to newer technology. NASA's Retha Hart recognized the team for its dedication and hard work, and she noted that the new configuration is faster (up to 20% performance improvement), more reliable, and more secure. She stated that NASA was extremely proud of the accomplishment by the InDyne KICS Maximo Migration Team in its efforts on this important project.
