InDyne Inc. Wins Contract to Provide Multimedia Services at Eglin AFB

InDyne, Inc., McLean Va., recently won the contract to operate the Eglin Air Force Base Multimedia Center (BMC) in Shalimar, Fla.

The company will provide multimedia technical support management, photographic services, digital media services, image design services, video services, video teleconferencing services, presentation services, commander’s access channel cable television services, depository and archive services, multimedia library services, personnel, and quality assurance. InDyne will provide advice to customers on all these functional areas and will work with other agencies to accomplish various segments of multimedia support determined to be the best value to the Government. InDyne will provide these services to all Eglin Air Force Base organizations, tenant activities, and any organizations approved by the chief of the BMC.  InDyne partnered with eLe Inc., a small woman-owned, 8(a), HubZone, firm that brings a rich heritage of providing video/multimedia services to the Department of Defense.

The BMC is one of the largest operations of its type in the United States Air Force. The center has a widespread reputation for providing high quality products and services in a timely manner. The BMC encompasses virtually every type of photographic service associated with base support and the development, acquisition, testing, deployment, and sustainment of air-delivered weapons including research, development, test, and evaluation (RTD&E) photography. In satisfying stringent Air Armament Center requirements, the BMC routinely provides services well beyond the scope of the standard Air Force BMC. In this capacity, approximately 70 percent of the total effort is in direct support of RDT&E test programs. This testing is conducted on Eglin Main Base, its 724 square miles of land ranges, and over the 86,500 square miles of water ranges in the Gulf of Mexico. Outside the Eglin area, support is provided to other military installations and government agencies throughout the United States and outside the Continental United States. The critical nature of this requirement dictates that full support capability be available on short notice with quick turnaround delivery times. Additionally, the center supports high priority base requirements on a daily or even an hourly basis. In fulfilling these stringent requirements, the entire BMC must be fully capable of simultaneous operation in all functional areas throughout the year.
